Nature and culture, outdoor life and shopping. Our eight municipalities Bollebygd, Borås, Herrljunga, Mark, Svenljunga, Tranemo, Ulricehamn and Vårgårda have both similarities and differences.
Bollebygd
In Bollebygd municipality, you have nature on your doorstep, which invites you to both relaxation and outdoor life. Several major hiking trails run through the district, where you can experience nature's various shifts from large forests to open countryside.
Borås
The city of Borås is nestled in parks and green spaces, with nature just around the corner. Rya Ridges, for example, offers 500 hectares of wild nature and breathtaking views. Around the city there is a ring of open-air farms and clubhouses, good starting points for trips to forests, lakes and outdoor areas.
Herrljunga
Herrljunga station house is like a hub for communication possibilities in Herrljunga. This is where Älvsborgsbanan and Västra stambanan meet. By express train, it takes about two and a half hours to Stockholm, and to Gothenburg about 50 minutes.
Mark
There are few municipalities that can match Mark Municipality. We have something as unusual as a very strong economy and we are growing in all directions. With our proximity to Borås, Gothenburg and Varberg, there is every opportunity to enjoy nature, the sea and the pulse of the city.
Tranemo
Tranemo. Behind the name hides a myriad of small strong communities and villages and a vibrant business community with many colorful residents. It is close to Borås, Gothenburg and Gislaved, and Landvetter can be reached in 50 minutes.
Svenljunga
In Svenljunga you can experience sing-alongs, markets and westerdays. Welcome to the southernmost municipality in Västra Götaland, close to peace and quiet but also to the city pulse.
Ulricehamn
Ulricehamn is a small town and village that has found its true self. That dared to look at itself with open eyes. Seen its advantages in the form of the close, beautiful, peaceful and timeless. Who have taken advantage of the value of being small and pointed.
Vårgårda
Vårgårda has a rich association life that is involved in community development in the municipality. This includes the non-profit association Destination Vårgårda, where associations, businesses and the municipality work together to develop the tourism industry in the municipality.
