The dedicated association Tillväxt Tranemo works together with the municipality to make the municipality as attractive as possible for businesses. Unemployment is low and there are plenty of jobs. Our oldest company, Ardagh Glass Limmared AB, was founded in 1740. The Tranemo spirit as an inspiration in culture is also reflected in our fantastic association life. In Tranemo the inhabitants are unusually healthy. The majority of the economy is based on industry, but there are also many small and enterprising entrepreneurs and a significant agricultural and forestry sector.
The business community and the municipality are committed to the future and in skills supply issues by offering apprenticeships and internships to the students at Tranemo Upper Secondary School. We work to get our young people to stay or come back after completing their education. The young people are successful in Young Enterprise and as Summer Holiday Entrepreneurs.
