Tranemo municipality consists of 13 villages with lakes and scenic areas. The municipality is growing rapidly, with a target of 14,000 inhabitants by 2035.

The entrepreneurial spirit and faith in the future, mixed with human concern for each other and nature, make Tranemo a close-knit municipality with many colorful residents. The committed association Tillväxt Tranemo works with the municipality to make the municipality as attractive as possible for businesses. Unemployment is low and there are plenty of job opportunities. Our oldest company, Ardagh Glass Limmared AB, was founded in 1740. Tranemo spirit as an input into the culture is also reflected in our fantastic association life. In Tranemo, the inhabitants are unusually healthy. A large part of the business life is in industry, but also several small and enterprising entrepreneurs and a significant agricultural and forestry industry.
The business community and the municipality are committed to the future and to skills supply issues by offering apprenticeships and traineeships to students at Tranemo Gymnasieskola. We work to get our young people to stay or come back after completing their education. The young people are successful in Young Enterprise and as Summer Holiday Entrepreneurs.
