Business Region Borås will work in close collaboration with the member municipalities and other actors to promote an expanding labor market through more and growing companies and a sustainable and competitive business community.

Regional collaboration
Together, the municipalities of Sjuhärad form Business Region Borås, BRB. The active municipalities in the region are Bollebygd, Borås, Herrljunga, Mark, Svenljunga, Tranemo, Ulricehamn, Vårgårda. In collaboration, we are stronger than the individual municipality, our work aims to lift up the entire Borås region and blur municipal boundaries.

In the spring of 2018, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between BRB and Business Sweden. BRB is one of Business Sweden's investment offices, we work together locally-regionally-nationally regarding establishments and investments in the region.

Organization and financing
BRB is part of the operations of Boråsregionens Sjuhärads Kommunalförbund. The Executive Board adopted the focus areas BRB will work with and is the political decision-making body. Under the Executive Board is the Committee for Sustainable Development Sjuhärad, BH7, which consists of political representatives from each municipality. A network of municipal representatives, business leaders (NLA), works together with BRB and is the steering group for the activities. Each municipality finances BRB with SEK 6 per inhabitant.
